i put in 3 new sigs today and thought of you

what randomizer did you use? justjon's one is much simpler than the one everyone used to use (i was given those directions and wrote it off as hopeless - jon's one is super simple).

edit: apparently that's the one y'all are using. makes no sense for it not to work.

I used the one that katja set up for me. Everything looked right, they were active, but I just kept getting that red X in the white box.

Tom, the only thing left is to set up a new randomizer account. or maybe save the images to your photobucket or tinypic account and then resubmit them and see if that helps

ok group effort,i'll tell em what i think and you peeps correct me in this thread,no secret PMs,find those sigs and post em here,right click on one of em,go to properties,left click(?), highlight the url,put your arrow on highlighted area,right click,click on "copy",go to randomizer(someone post link),add a sig area,right click,"paste",the part on user cp someone else is gonna have to help you

I think I know what my problem is. I signed up for the randomizer correctly, I host my images on photobucket correctly, I put the images onto the randomizer correctly. I think my issue is that I don't know where to put the addy (under "____ sigs" on the randomizer page). I'll figure it out eventually, technology is not my forte.

thats because you never made your own sigs.

you can't just post a image on the board, it must come from a different location, such as photobucket.

if you did this your sigs wouldn't turn "gay" on you, ala the TO sig I made you

start by registering an account here

use your name if you want but it is not automatically set up until you register it.

Then you get a sign in screen

sign in, upload signatures by pasting the url to the image into the blank field and click add signature

when you have them uploaded check that they are activated, they should be activated by default

copy the url in your browser
http://www.ronfez.net/randomizer/siglist.php?uid=xxx

(the red 3 xes will have your unique id number in it's place)

Go to your CP. --> Edit Signature

click on the http://www.ronfez.net/forums/images/skins/rf_blue/editor/insertimage.gif and paste your randomizer url --> click ok


you can check it by previewing the signature or just click save signature and it should appear if you have the feature enabled in your Edit Options screen
