The rumors running around are that Nash has all but signed his deal with the WWF. AND there's talk that HBK is going to return shortly. It's possible that the NWO could reform.

Despite the fact that I don't want to see it again, and I think the entire thing will be a total and utter disaster, not to mention about 183 steps backward when the WWF badly needs to build some forward momentum.

I'm pretty sure that even if there is a group formed with Nash, Triple H, and Michaels, it will not be called the nWo. That was a successful WCW creation, and not something that Vince would use. He's not going to resurrect something that he didn't invent.

Is this thread a bit hypocritical or am I loopy?

All of us on this board (myself included) have criticized the WWF low these many months for getting repetitive or reviving old storylines with new characters.

Why would anyone want to see the reformation of the nWo?

Like it or not, the nWo was a vehicle for Hulk Hogan to ressurect his career, which it did to many people's dismay.

Without Hogan, it's not the same. Paul E. was once asked about recreating the Eliminators or the Ganstas with new talent. His reply was that he didn't want to whore out the name.

Vince should follow that lead. Same goes for the Horsemen. If you want to put Nash, HHH, The Kid, and HBk together...fine. Call 'em the Clique...the nitwits...whatever, but be ORIGINAL!

Besides, we all now that after WrestleMania X-8 and the luster wears off, and Nash gets lazy and HBk pisses of some of the boys, the good people of this message board will be screaming to dump Nash and Shawn.

GET THIS THROUGH YOUR SKULLS! The best way to spike the ratings is...Crash Holly!

As far back as I can remember...I've always wanted to be a gangster.

See... what it is, is that you all just don't get it.

Vince will bring back the nWo because he owns the damn likeness to it. Saying he wouldn't bring something in that he didn't create is like saying he would never bring in WCW to WWF programming... re-effing-diculous. Of course Vince McMahon would use the nWo moniker because it is the only thing in this business that has exploded with populatrity since the era of Hulk Hogan wearing yellow and red... bottom line: if it makes money, Vince will do it... and the nWo will make money.

The LATEST breaking news out now is that Dave Meltzer (who publishes the "Wrestling Observer", and is considered to be one of the most accurate internet wrestling journalist) and a few others (Dave Scherer / Bob Ryder for 1popup...um, 1wrestling.com) are reporting that not only Nash, but HOGAN and HALL are in negotiations with the WWF to return.

Of course, we won't know if the deals are truly done until we see them on TV, but from the looks of it, the NWO WILL be back.

I'm torn over this. I don't care what anyone says, Hogan and Nash are two of the biggest politicking machines EVER in this business. And for everyone who says, "Vince won't allow it, he's the boss", I give you WWF circa 1995. The Kliq was in full control at that point, and the result was a year of wrestling so bad it damn near bankrupted the fed.

Regardless of the backstage implications, I will mark out like a sumbitch when I hear the music for the N-N-NWO! play, and out walk Hogan and the Outsiders...

I can't help but think that bringing back these sway-back nags will be nothing but embarassing to the WWF and Hogan, Nash, etc. They should be bringing up the new talent that they have (like Shane Helms, everyone from the Power Plant, and the Hardyz--especially the under-used and more charasmatic Matt), making them stars instead of reviving those who have burned out long ago.

As for the rumors surrounding the return of HBK I think that Bret heart would sooner drop from the rafters via cable rigging. Hall and Nash ,according to a recent wrestling Mag I picked up, Are working out the rust in Japan. Hall wants to revive the outsiders and the only place to do that and get noticed is ny working for Vince.

Believe and it will release you.
