When you have mashed potatoes, do you like it when the skin is still in them or do you like them without?
My mom makes these kick ass mashed potatoes with essence & herbs and still leaves the skin in them. I think it really adds to the flavor. Plus it's vitamins! So good.
So what about you?
And if you don't like mashed potatoes, you're insane.

Skin always. That's where all the good vitamins are.

Malibu?
i like my taters made by craig stram.
Dirty all the way. And leave it a bit lumpy. Nothing worse than mashed potatoes with the texture of whipped cream.
Fucking savages.
And stick the sour cream up your ass while you're at it. That stuff is shite. It's SOUR cream.
Fucking disgusting.

skins is a novelty act, good once in a blue moon, but regularly you gotta have it without skins

Skins on. They are more nutritious that way, and I'm lazy. Same with carrots, fuck peeling them.

i hit the skins for the hell of it, just for smell of it.
If I make them to bring to someone's house, no skins. If I make them to have at home, skins on..and just cream, butter and salt and pepper either way.

Baked Potato with sour cream, butter and chives would be my preference, but I
would rather the skins off when mashed. Throw a little roasted garlic in there too.

Some garlic? I think I'm at a 1 to 1 ratio with potatoes and garlic.
If by skin you mean large chunks of bacon, absolutely.

I don't care as long as peas are served with them. Fuck you people who put a dent in your mashed to hold gravy.

Once again both have their place, it depends on what meal it is associated with.

This is all I really worry about with mashed potatoes.
