I think this is what you want. Go to about:config and find browser.cache.check_doc_frequency. Set that to 1.
That should check for a new version every time a page is loaded.

Type __about:config__ into the location bar and press enter. This brings up a list or preferences.
Locate the preference {PREF()}browser.cache.check_doc_frequency{PREF} and double-click on it to change it's value.
Possible values are:
__0__ - Check for a new version of a page once per session (a session starts when the first application window opens and ends when the last application window closes).
__1__ - Check for a new version every time a page is loaded.
__2__ - Never check for a new version - always load the page from cache.
__3__ - Check for a new version when the page is out of date. (Default)
