View Full Version : Batter question
Any time I mix batter (be it for waffles, pancakes, muffins, cakes, etc.) I do so in a glass mixing bow with a spout. However, whether I pour from the spout, use a spoon or a ladle, I always get batter drippings on my cupcake and muffin trays (and everywhere else). Anyone have a better way to do this?
Also, while we're on the topic anyone have a bitchin' blueberry muffin recipe? I could really go for some right about now.
Thanks in advance!

I just saw this on the Food Network: use an ice cream scoop.

The Beanie Culinary Institute?
I grew up on those, and make them for my girls all the time.

My mother made the even shittier ones with the blueberries that are like little blue tic tacs. I was like so close to eating butter and sugar sandwiches on wonder bread.

I'll have to second Brian on the ice cream disher, although I will often use a plain old ladle myself, seeing as how I haven't got an ice cream disher. (AB uses an ice cream disher for muffins, BTW.)
Can't help you out on the muffin recipe, yet. If I find one, I'll definitely post it in the recipe thread!

icing bag?
For stuff like pancakes or mini muffins, that's more practical ... you could also use a zip-top baggie with a corner cut off ... but it'd be tricky to not get drips.
