View Full Version : The Day After Xmas and Stuck at Work Thread
Stuck here in the office while most everyone is at home sleeping off Christmas dinner. I don't really mind it, because 80% of my office is out so I spend the time posting, playing solitaire and looking forward to Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding later at my mother-in-law's.
Anyone else here in this boat with me?

I'm going in a bit later this morning for a few hours. That should make up for my not going in on the 23rd.
I'm working Monday, then I won't be back here until 1/5... so I got that goin' for me.....which is nice.

I was just about to start this very thread. Lol I'm stuck at work too. Rt 3 was a ghost town this morning, really serene watching the sun rise over Manhattan. It won't be so bad for me today I'm on a protection job today so if nobody hits any wires they're not supposed to I won't even have to get out of my truck. Plus I should be able to get a little shopping done so I guess it is what it is.

Ooof! I have to work all next week preparing video for a professional development on the 8th. I hate having to do things!

"Boo Hoo Hoo, I'm gainfully employed."
You all should say prayer to Santa, baby Jesus, and the dinosaurs that you have jobs.

When I got into work I had no orders at all so I just hung out bullshitting with the guys for awhile. Two calls came in - one in the southeastern part of my territory, the other in the northwest. They literally could not be farther apart.
I plan on milking it for all it's worth.

yeah, took advantage of today by driving in. from the bronx to soho took 22 minutes. and i get to park in the hotel yard today rather than pay at a parking lot. it's the little things that make it bearable.
