Anyone else have a lonely christmas this year?

I just got a dog so that makes things better..but besides that i'm just going to make burgers on my george foreman grill and hopefully find movies to watch on my ondemand (my DVR is completely empty..i've watched everything!)

anyone want to try to "out-lonely" me?

i'd try, but i think you win. my boyfriend is on call so i'm home all alone tonight. i will stop by to bring him dinner later. probably something from the cheesecake factory. but he's having a very busy night, so he may not even get to eat it. then i'll probably come back home & plant myself in front of the tv again like i have been all day. at least can't buy me love is on right now.

tomorrow morning when he gets home we have to drive back down to the city just for dinner with his giant greek family & then back up cause he has work friday morning.

I'm one of few who will be going into my work to open up the kennels so the dogs can eat and do their thing. So no holiday really, but I love those freaks more anyway. Gaz 2-0

Alot has changed in my life the past few years; family dynamics, break up with long term b/f, so between that and people moving out of state, Christmas is not what it use to be (BIG family gatherings).
I got over it, things change, not better, not worse, just different.
I'm home in my pjs with the rents. We watch bad Christmas themed movies every year now. :smile:
I'm starting to like and appreciate the mellower holidays now, I feel like I appreciate this time of year more then before where I was so caught up in the socializing and gift giving.

the only issue right now is that she is a CUNT to other dogs. I took her to meet Mr.Beaker and she showed her teeth at him so we took beaker away. I'm going to try to work on it.

Everything else is cool. She loves all humans (even kids) and shes completely housebroken and rarely barks

I don't think an animal will show it's belly to someone it doesn't trust, since the belly is what is most vulnerable if an animal is attacked. Congrats on the dog, she is beautiful! Your gonna be a great dog owner.

It's just me, Mike and the cats. I just made 2 loaves of bread, and we are having the rest of the lentil and sausage soup I made. I've been playing some video games, and I'm waiting for Jingle to show up on Animal Crossing. Maybe we will watch a movie or something later.

when im on the computer she usually sits by my legs, but i bought her a dog bowl and they fuckin' GLUED on the label (where the food goes) and i couldnt get it off so i put it in the dishwasher and the dishwasher scared her so shes hanging out under my table

when i got that bowl out of the dishwasher, the label still wouldnt come off

i was just feeding her out of a regular human bowl (shes really skinny, the woman who had her fed her 2 cups of dog food every morning and im giving her 2 cups in the morning and a cup at night cuz i want her to get some lbs on her) but after i took it out of the dishwasher i put it under hot water and scraped and scraped until it peeled off "good enough"

My new Dad picked me up last evening. Mom was sad all day and let me sit on the couch with her. Of course I never stay there long because I like to run around. I went to visit my new home Monday but it smelled strange.

My new Dad is 25 and is already financially stable so he has a lot of energy and time to keep up with a gal like me. He also gave a big donation to SAAP. He seems like a really nice guy. He says he'll send Mom pictures. Mom told me she'll visit in about a month to see how I'm doing.

He works from home too, how cool is that!
