We always have ham and turkey. And without fail, we have my sister's broccoli, Velveeta, and Ritz cracker casserole (http://www.nabiscoworld.com/recipes/recipe.aspx?recipe_id=56398). She learned how to make it in Home Economics class in the mid 1960's, and we never have a Holiday dinner without it.

Ham is the penultimate FACE! to all the jews left out of the Christmas festivities. You do know Penultimate means next to last, right?
And I had Italian friends that had 7 different types of fish for Christmas.

well then the Ham is still the "penultimate face" for jews being left out. The ultimate would be them getting no presents or cheer
