It amazes me just how serious the business about making people mods are in the Ron and Fez fandom world.

I can't tell if it is a need for a bit of notoriety or that people's lives are so without that they need a tiny bit of power to feel special.

I mod about 10 communities outside of the Ron and Fez world. My biggest community is a site boasts 2 million visitors a week and even the people that get paid to be the mods don't make this much of a stink about being a mod.

It's like that in regards to everything net related, not just the R&F community. I see it go on on most boards I have been a member of, and it goes on in all the paltalk rooms. I used to be an admin in the O&A fan room before all the room splits, and there many people that acted butthurt if they didn't get asked to be an admin when they thought they should.

My miserable school (SUNY Buffalo) just won the MAC championship and will be playing in the International Bowl game in Toronto. It is the first time for them making a bowl appearance since 1958. They were selected back then but chose not to play in the game because two of the players were black and were not eligible to play in the bowl game. I am very impressed with them. It became a big deal to the school because the remaining members of that team will be in attendance in honor of the team from 50 years ago. I never went to a game at UB because I went to undergrad at NYU but as a PhD candidate, I think I might go support them too.


But I digress - Rutgers used to fuck UB up all the time and they sucked on the field.

My miserable school (SUNY Buffalo) just won the MAC championship and will be playing in the International Bowl game in Toronto. It is the first time for them making a bowl appearance since 1958. They were selected back then but chose not to play in the game because two of the players were black and were not eligible to play in the bowl game. I am very impressed with them. It became a big deal to the school because the remaining members of that team will be in attendance in honor of the team from 50 years ago. I never went to a game at UB because I went to undergrad at NYU but as a PhD candidate, I think I might go support them too.


But I digress - Rutgers used to fuck UB up all the time and they sucked on the field.

As an alumni of Univ of Florida.. I have no idea what any of that feels like.. :tongue:
