View Full Version : Shadow of a Doubt on TCM tonight at 8PM
Just a heads up for the movie fans, this film is on tonight.
I searched for a post with this movie, but could only find top ten films and the like, so here is a new post.
My second favorite Hitchcock film, closely behind Rear Window, this is clearly a masterpiece.
Enjoy all who tune in.

DVR this film. It is nothing short of outstanding.
It must be Joseph Cotton night as the Third Man is on at 11pm CST too. (That's midnight for you crazy east coasters).
My dvr is on pause right now as I get my supplies ready.
Thanks for the heads up .

"I have to go now. I'm trying to keep my mind clear of things that don't matter."
That lil bitch!
"You think you know something, don't you? You think you're the clever little girl who knows something. There's so much you don't know, so much. What do you know, really? You're just an ordinary little girl, living in an ordinary little town. You wake up every morning of your life and you know perfectly well that there's nothing in the world to trouble you. You go through your ordinary little day, and at night you sleep your untroubled ordinary little sleep, filled with peaceful stupid dreams. And I brought you nightmares. Or did I? Or was it a silly, inexpert little lie? You live in a dream. You're a sleepwalker, blind. How do you know what the world is like? Do you know the world is a foul sty? Do you know, if you rip off the fronts of houses, you'd find swine? The world's a hell. What does it matter what happens in it? Wake up, Charlie. Use your wits. Learn something. "

Hitchcock has admitted that it was his favorite of his work.

I DVR'd both films last night. I'll probably watch one of them today.

Yep, he is the star of the month, so his films will be on every Tuesday I believe.
I think one of my favorite parts of the film is when he gives Charlie the ring, and she sees the inscription, and you see the look on his face, knowing he made a serious stupid mistake.
