I went for an interview for a Distribution Center that is opening here in Middle Georgia the other week and I believe it went rather well. From what I've been told, if you go to one of these types of interviews and you do multiple interviews, its a good sign you may have the job.
Has anyone ever had this kinda situation happen to them before and if so, how long did it take them to get back to you to let you know you was hired or the "Thanks for the time but unfortunately...." response?

it's certainly not a bad sign. but it may just be a scheduling issue; they want the whole chain of command to see you at once to reduce the time wasting practice of having you back multiple times. get it all over with at once.

i was a hr supervisor for a Lowe's Distribution Center, if you've had a second interview for a non-management position, right now they're probably either waiting for your background check, or possibly finishing up your references and preparing to schedule you for the next orientation.
if its been more than two weeks i'd call back, most distribution centers are short manned...and things do slip through the cracks.

with my current job I had what I thought was a great first interview, and did't hear back from them for like 3 weeks.
Just when I gave up hope they called me in for the second; they said the wait was because people were taking vacation.
Then I had to wait another two weeks before hearing back from them.
They just like to f with you.

I interviewed with a personnel manager. Then a week later they called me back and I interviewed with a sales manager. Then the next day I get an email about not getting the job.
I'm so glad I don't work for that company

WELL...
follow-up to this shitty thread.
I was called last Friday from Academy and I was finally offered a position starting there next week (21st). They took 2 months to get back with me! I was very surprised when I got the call.....I actually asked the woman why it was taking so long and her reply was, "So many have applied and so many have came back for multiple interviews that weren't suppose to that they had to revamp their interviewing process."
I dunno whether to be happy or worried about that.....either way, I got 2 jobs now working 7 days a week at about 70 hours.....34.5 hours at my first place Mon-Thurs and 36 hours at the new place making the same at both.
hope it works out for me.....
