Actually i just went to check my email and i have 5 emails in my spam folder with Cyber Monday in the Heading

It has started within the last 5 years, I think. It is based on the trend of people returning to work on Monday after Thanksgiving and ordering stuff online that they couldn't/didn't get on Black Friday or during weekend sales.
