B5: LOTR

Is anyone else psyc'ed about the upcomming Babylon 5 spin off? I'm hoping it'll be better than Crusade.

LOTR-Legend of the Rangers OR Lord of the Rings...Coincidence?

Im so so so so so so so Psyc'ed about this i love babalons 5's story it was so good iv seen the whole series like 5 times cause of reruns
Why did the Crusade show suck so bad i wish it didnt cause i would of like to see how they cure the virus

from what i've heard about Crusade, TNT had too much input. and their ideas for how the show should run went against JMS and his writers.
I think SCFI's just going to let him roll with it. It should be better.

I am a Joe Michael Strazcynski FREAK. Hell, I'd stalk him if I knew where he lived. I think he's a genius, and Babylon 5 is, IMO, the greatest sci-fi show ever made (even above Star Trek). So I'm incredibly excited about the new series. I even have the start date pencilled in on my calendar.

As for Crusade, furie hit it right on the head. JMS has talked a lot about what happened with Crusade - basically, about how the network (TNT) screwed it up horribly, and when it still didn't meet their standards (the two main things they wanted was lots more sex and violence), it was cancelled (even though they pretty much had a full season order).

when i saw LOTR the 2nd time they had a big screen comercial for it and it looks even better on a big screen i wish it was in theators i so wanna watch it

you're right. B5 is better
than any of the star trek
series. I wonder if JMS will
try to work Crusade into
LOTR. If it runs long enough
the two story lines should
run together. Have you
heard anything?
