You know there's those foods that you don't like but you can see why others might? Take canadian bacon pizza...I would never order it over peperoni but I guess I can see some people who might. But black licorice is one of those things that I can't even fathom any human liking.

By the way, do they even make canadian bacon anymore? You never hear about it.

And I like Black Licorice, but it is probably genetically pre-programmed or because I was introduced to it very young. My Dad loves Licorice and it is one of the earliest candies I remember.

I hate Good 'n' Plenty because that's all artificial flavors. I hate artificial flavors.

But I've had natural licorice chews and they're not so bad.

Now that it's Christmastime (almost) I'm starting to think about one of my favorite Christmas cookies, springerle, which is made with anise seed (or anise oil) and that has a nice licorice flavor. I may not like to bite into the seeds but I do love my sprigerle!
