Hi everyone,
So this afternoon I turned off the t.v. and everything was fine. A few hours later and there are now horizontal lines on the top half of the screen that fade to a clear picture at the bottom of the screen. We did a burn wipe that isn't the issue. The t.v. is about 3 yrs. old so I think we still have it under warranty but its frustrating none the less. Also yesterday my wife and inlaw hooked up the surround sound but the screen was fine until today so I'm not sure if thats the culprit.
thanks in advance for any tips.

Have you tried completely resetting the screen? Check all the connections from your cable box? Also try googling the problem along with your TV brand and model number, see if similar problems pop up.

Do you use an HDMI cable? Do you use a cable box or a Sat. box?
I've worked for Cablevision & now:smoke: Time Warner, and both company's use Scientific Atlanta boxes.
There was a firmware problem with the HDMI port. It's been corrected here in N.C. I don't know about other areas.
