I usually only eat wings if I've been drinking and somone else is ordering them as well. Nothing against them, they just aren't a menu item I often find myself craving.

Depends on the occasion. As a meal, I'll get 30 wings, but that's on a special occasion. Normally, however, I'll just get 6 or split a dozen. I just like the taste, but I know 9 times out of 10 they're giving me a greasy mess made with the cheapest oil and lowest quality chicken available.

I go to the RVC one with my dad. But I live around the corner from the Farmingdale one. I never understood the small bathrooms though. yeesh.

Croxleys in RVC is my favorite bar. Wings, Delirium Tremens, close to home, what more could I ask for?

i've never had the wings at the Croxleys in Farmingdale or RVC, but i've had them at the one in Franklin Square and most people love them....i think they are really overrated. actually, i think they suck. Shackeltons in FS has much better wings.
if i'm only having wings i'd probably order about 25 if thats possible.

it all depends on the place that i go. the places that have larger wings in go with a single order and places with the smaller a double order. 75% of the time ordered hot. 25% of the time ordered extra hot.
i eat a lot of chicken wings.

When I lived in Manhattan that deal was $14 at DTH. We would actually set our alarm clocks to get up at 12 on a Sunday to get a shower and go for football & "the cure".
Those were the days when I wore only one chin.:glurps:

We always sat at the bar, on the left, by the "window". You could look out it and see about 1 foot of dirt and the ground...good for rat watching.

Love wings, but usually I'll just take the plate and throw them straight in the terlet, thereby cutting out the middle man.

Yes. The Franklin Square one sucks because they place is so small. The wait on wing night is usually ridiculous. The Rockville Centre is a bigger place but the wait is long too because more people go to there. It's a no win situation for wings at Croxleys. Plus they add gratuity on top of the bill. I don't like being told what to tip. I've NEVER had good service at Franklin Square and yet I have to pay 18% - fuck em.
My solution: go to the city on fridays for free wings. I usually go to manatoba's and hit up $2 happy hour and then walk over to Croxley's for the wings. It more than makes up for the shitty service and wait at the other two places.
Then at 7 i either walk back to manatoba's for one more hour for happy hour or some other bar on Houston. This past friday i went to the national underground. They had a great rockabillly band going and $3 local beer. There isn't cheap beer and entertainment I don't know about in the city.
Oh, at 12 wings i feel disgusted and at 15 I usually stop. I can't eat wings that aren't hot. Usually at the 15 the rest on the plate has cooled off.
Large order (Either fried bar wings or chinese wings. No spice)
