Kraft Dinner?
Location: Canada
Ooohhhh....
Yeah, I've killed a box off single-handedly many times in college... and even made it without the milk and butter when money (or loonies) was tight.

Kraft mac and cheese made a big comeback in our family when my kids were younger. Somehow I became the ezpxpert on making it just the right combo of butter and milk. We banned the funny shapes for the original because there was less when it was shaped like spongebob. A box would not challenge me in the least maybe two

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the concept of the deep fried mac and cheese bites that some fast food place has now. It's either KFC or Arby's.

Rookie. I can eat 3 all by myself.
Usually for dinner when my wife works late, me and my three kids usually plow through 5 or 6 boxes.

I hope you're not an economics major. Eighty three cents for a little cup like that is a rip off.

It's 1 1/8 cups per serving. Not too bad.
I loved that as a kid and lived on it during and after college when I was poor. That's why I can't eat the stuff anymore. I got sick of it.

Just some FYI, we just came home from Wal Mart and Kraft Mac and Cheese boxes are 50 cents apiece.
Took home 6 boxes for 3 bucks. If it's at my Wal Mart, it should be the same deal at your Wal Mart, right?

not right, most walmarts have special deals based on what their local manager decides
you can get great deals on sales items by bargaining them down even more, cause they wanna get rid of it.

First of all, Annie's is gross.
Second, I have indeed been able to polish off a box. In my bachelor days I was known to sit in front of the TV eating it directly out of the pot with a wooden spoon.

Annie's touts it's 100% real cheese in both the mac and cheese and the cheddar crackers I got from them. If that flavorless crap is real cheese, then give me fake cheese any day.

Why would anyone buy these little cups? You can get the full size box for somewhere around a buck. ($1 US) Regular price. Sometimes the sales are as low as 25 cents a box. Each box makes about 3 cups. You're not a financial whiz I take it.
If you're really strapped for cash, which a lot of us may soon be, seeing our economy is in a nose dive, you can usually find Ramen noodles on sale for around 8 to 10 cents a package. The last time I bought them I got 40 packages for $3. Some of the flavors are pretty good but keep in mind that they are loaded with sodium. Drink lots of water to flush it out. Makes a nice quick microwave lunch.

I dunno about eating a whole box but Mac & Cheese (kraft style) can only be eaten with Chicken or Kielbasa. I prefer the kielbasa. The two flavors just go together.

Nothing wrong with that!
(I saw the "Next Day Mac and Cheese 'Toast' (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/next-day-mac-and-cheese-toast-recipe/index.html)" on Good Eats years ago, though, so maybe that's why it's not so weird-sounding to me.)
Incidentally, I make stovetop macaroni and cheese from scratch (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/stove-top-mac-n-cheese-recipe/index.html) and it knocks the powdered stuff AND the Velveeta stuff out of the park.

Its not rocket science, pasta and melted cheese, add a little milk and butter to the cheese to make it creamier.
For the best mix of cheeses ask your deli guy for cheese ends. If your local supermarket is like mine people fight for the cheese ends at the deli counter. They usually charge less per pound but you get the ends from different kinds of cheese, so instead of just cheddar and American cheese you get some provolone, some swiss, some parmesian, and whatever else they sell a lot of during the day. It just tastes better when you do this..
If you buy a couple pounds of cheese ends you can make the best mac & cheese.
Recipe
If you didn't get the deli to shred the cheese for you (which makes it much easier and they don't charge you to do it, so why not) start by Chopping the cheese into extra thin pieces that will be easily melted.
Boil some water for your pasta. While that's boiling put some milk, and half a stick of butter in a sauce pan and slowly melt the cheese into the milk, over a low heat until you have all the cheese melted and you end up with a very cheesy sauce.
Once the water is boiled add the pasta and cook until pasta is tender. (around 10 minutes) I prefer to use the little shell pasta when I make home made mac & cheese cuz the cheese collects inside the shells and tastes great.
Once the pasta is cooked to your liking drain the water and add the pasta into the cheese pan and stir until the pasta is completely covered with cheese.
Sometimes I like to serve it with hot dogs, kielbasa, or sweet, or hot italian sausages. It's really easy to make and tastes a lot better than the powdered cheese shit.

Well?
I'mjussayn.
Why not find a thread where people are discussing delicious steak-ums, and preach to us hayseeds how they're not as good as Dry Aged USDA Prime Ribeye, or a juicy morsel of Kobe beef you savored on your last trip to the far east.
Damn, food elitists.
Oh, and milk and butter are what your mom added when she made it for the kids.
I found that neither is entirely necessary if you're on a college budget, or in a dorm with just a hot plate.
