I seriously can't listen to Beck anymore, ever since I heard he was a Scientologist. I guess it's stupid of me, but his music just seems less interesting and intelligent to me knowing that he's gone for that nonsense.

Beck is the only person that can be a scientologist. He's supposed to be weird, so it's ok. When I found out that he was into this, I was like - well I liked Guero.

As far as I know, Beck and his wife (Giovanni Ribisi's sister Marissa) are second-generation Scientologists, so it was more something he was brought up with rather than something he went for. I give a guy a little more leeway if he's just sticking with the religion he was raised in.

Or the ones that steal every penny new members have to cover testing fees and climbing the latter to higher levels in the organization.
