I was watching ESPN this morning and I got to thinking while Emmit Smith was on that there are a shitload of ex-cowboys on tv anymore. Is that a product of their success on the field or just their exposure as players made them well known enough to be good analysts? Will there be alot of ex-Patriots on tv in future years? What current player would make the best analyst?

They had great seasons last year and I expect them to really produce well in this coming season.

while we are at it. I think that YA Tittle would make a good announcer when he finally stops playing

Ted Williams and Joe D will make a great point and counterpoint duo on Around the Horn, when they retire.

if you need insight on WRs, in a few years, you wont be able to beat Rae Carruth

Putting the thread back on track, you ARE going to see Brady in a studio when he's done. Too good looking, too well spoken.

Al Davis could team up with Tim McCarver.

Matt Birk. He went to Harvard.

Just because I said Brady would be good in the booth does not mean I like him. And he played for Michigan what seems like eons ago.

And Disneyspy: If RichRod was fired tomorrow from Michigan I wouldn't have any hatred for Michigan. the focus of hatred is on DickRod, not the team itself. But the regime spreads the hate.

I was thinking about what Peyton Manning will do after he's done playing. I think he could make a decent coach, but he's more likely to go into broadcasting. I think for most people, the money would be better in coaching (in the long run), but for some reason the goobers tend to last forever on TV, ex. Phil Simms and Boomer.

I believe Brian Shouse could give some nice insights about facing a single left-handed hitter in a jam and then being immediately pulled from the game.

Jon Jansen...he's already been doing the draft on ESPN the last few years, and is pretty good

I think this Joe Morgan kid from the Reds will be a great broadcaster some day. Maybe the best. ever.

Joe Morgan SUCKS BALLS. The are only 4 baseball announcers I would not want over Joe Morgan:

Michael Kay
John Miller
Joe Buck
Tim McCarver

I think Carson Palmer would make a good analyst. Honestly, if he keeps getting injured that may well be his permanent career...
