Unless you live in the sticks (which I doubt) the sirens will sound if there is a warning. A warning means that there is visual or radar indicated tornadoes or forming tornadoes in the area.

If you hear the sirens get into a basement or the lowest level of your place away from windows.

If you are unsure, grab a bottle and get into the fetal position a ride it out.

I just remembered the first time that we had a tornado watch alert. I was at work. My mom was home alone while my dad was at work. I called to let her know. She asked me "What should I do if it hits?
