I'll chip in on the thread dredging.

Spam is good. Put a can in the fridge to chill it, then slice it about 1/4" thick. Fry it in a pan over a campfire like bacon, fry some eggs in the fat, and enjoy yourself. Don't let that aspic in the can go to waste either, toss that in with the spam when you fry it.

Grew up eating spam at my grandmoms house and revisited the fine pork product again after college when really broke. If fried up with some cheese on top, it makes for a great cheap sandwich.

Hey...I only live 30 miles from the SPAM museum. That shit is crap..crap I tell you. It stinks and it tastes worst. My grandma was from Austin, and she was always trying to get me to eat that shit when I was a kid. I may have barfed. One thing I did have was a spam piggy bank though.
