Only $2.50. If you only play it one night for 20 minutes it's worth it, because you wont, you'll come back to it again at some point.

What is Audiosurf?

Audiosurf is a rhythm game made by the magnificent Dylan Fitterer. A very strange, very wonderful rhythm game that takes any song you've got a sound file for, and generates a track for your spaceship to navigate. Any song at all. The track will reflect the pace of the song.

Any mp3 you have on your pc. I tried a 10 minute poetry reading my Maya Angelou once. Not something I'd recommend but if it's your thing then go right ahead and surf that spoken word.

Good stuff, and $2.50. I don't think you'll ever be able to get it for cheaper. Could just use the change you have in your car to get it. Well worth it.

I'm glad it was only $2.50. I bought it, found out I had to install their "steam" application in order to play it, tried that which locked up my computer. I rebooted, tried again and it seemed to install but whenever I try to access the game thru "steam" it gives me a runtime error.

Steam is the ichiban A #1 digital distribution platform on the PC. It's run by Valve, the folks who make Half Life, Team Fortress 2, and Counterstrike (or at least bought the last two).

Does Steam itself run on your computer? Were you able to get the application up and running and browse around? What kind of system are you running it on? Audiosurf is a very small app and should be able to run on most anything. Did Audiosurf itself crash or did Steam bomb out? Steam is just a front end for the games. Post the error here.

But! Now that you do have a Steam account and you bought it on there you will be able to run Audiosurf from any pc anywhere. All you will have to do is log on to Steam from whatever machine you want to play it on and it will show right up on your games list, being able to do that is one of the reasons Steam is so well liked.
