Two of my friends were debating is Belmore LI was a good neighborhood or a bad one. One friend said while it is not bad (A hood) he does not think it represents LI (Meaning while not dangerous just not worthy of LI). the other friend said Belmore is a great place. I have no idea so we decided to go where everyone should go to have there debates settled. Is Belmore Long Island a good or bad neighborhood.
Let it be known I do not like LI.

Lots of Jews in Merrick, which is the next town. But Bellmore is cheaper. My friend lived in Bellmore and I enjoyed that town. Its quiet, and what you might like is that it is close to a lot of other towns and very easy to get into the city, because the main railroad runs right through it along Sunrise Hwy. Its a good town.

belmore couldn't be a safer long island town. My parents live in Wantagh right next door. Its a good town, some cool bars (Effin Grooven on surnise highway) and the Brokerage Comedy Club has Otto & George every month. Its a good place

that makes sense. I grew up in South Baldwin, but hanging out North of Sunrise is kinda shady at places

hahaha..hi homegirl!
since none of my family lives there...3330 Parkway Drive. Thats the house i grew up in!
I actually read some article that had Baldwin as one of the top 25 places to live...and i had a friend that lived way in North Baldwin and i walked home waaaaaaaaaaaay late at night. Im just saying, North Baldwin has a little bit more danger feeling than South Baldwin

Hey, just taking this thread is a different direction;
What do you think is a typical or perhaps even stereotypical long island town.
Where Nassau's concerned, I always thought massapequa was very long island.
