I honestly am looking forward to this. It actually looks funny and doesn't seem to take itself too seriously.

I watched the trailer a couple of days ago.
Looks absolutely hilarious.

As a fan of his early 90's films, I'm looking forward to this.

I just came across Hard Target yesterday on cable and watch that cheesefest gleefully. Not only does he put 8 bullets in a guy, but then he roundhouse kicks them to the face... just for good measure. The muscles of Brussels. The pecs of death.

I remember seeing this a few weeks back. Looks classic, it seems like he's kind of poking fun at himself which is more than I can say for those other action stars (Stallone, Lundgren, Seagal). Love the premise here, he totally loses it because he's broke, that's great.

I saw this at the Toronto International Film Festival this year. You'll be let down if you go in expecting an action movie (though the opening scene is pretty kick ass) or an all out farce. However, it is pretty funny and JCVD acts his ass off. At one point he has a 5 minute monologue that is absolutely amazing.

I wonder if the Asian director at the beginning of the trailer is actually played by ay of the bigger Hong Kong directors. It was frustrating in the 90's to see a slew of kickass HK action film directors get their American "breaks" with JCVD films, again and again.

Definitely curious to see this, and I'm not gonna front like I haven't seen all of his films.

Awesome!

65% of my bonding experience with my Dad has come from watching action movies, mostly of which were Van Damme, so this evokes good times.

I thought i saw Lionheart on BET the other day and i almost cried when it wasn't it.

Uh... Ogre doesn't die. He gets F'ed up, but they visit him in the hospital after the Kumite and he's recovering, drinking beer in the hospital bed. Remember, Frank gets the bandana back and they hug.

I just saw a special on this and it looks GREAT! I love the scene where he's doing coke with a director and the camera POV is through the mirror that they are passing around with the lines on it.

They recently showed this movie on Spike and I have to say I was quite disappointed.

The whole dubbing thing really took me out of it, but on top of that the acting was atrocious and the movie just dragged on.

And I'm sorry, but that whole monologue thing that JCVD did that someone said was amazing just seemed ridiculous to me. I mean it's fucking Van Dam trying to come across as some intellectual scholar and it just doesn't work.

You can see it without the dubbing. It's still not worthwhile but surely a step above a porrly dubbed version.

It's definitely better without the horrid dubbing, which sounds like somebody did in their garage without watching the movie or reading the script ahead of time, but it's still a pretty shitty flick. I definitely agree that the "amazing" monologue I had heard some people rave about was embarassingly bad. A torrent of completely rambling bullshit delivered by a horrible actor.
