ITunes acting queer

Ok...I did a few updates with my ITunes, and whenever I boot up my "Itunes" it will will bounce around in artists when in fact it would stay in line with artists prior. Now all of a sudden it is bouncing beteen artists, and random IS switched off. Any ITunes experts out there that can explain this phenomenoa?? I myself am stumped...

It goes into random, as if I selected it. And I see no selection to prove otherwise...Stumped.

i had a similar problem a while back. the problem was my mouse actually. the optic mouse was dirty and i guess the light relecting back in odd ways cause itunes particularly to get screwy.
