I get annoyed by people getting upset by it... but honestly unless there was no way around (like a secluded corner or a nursing room at a mall, most have motherhood stores who welcome nursing mothers) what else can ya do.
I didn't do it so obvious with all hanging out... if you know how to nurse well you can do it without anybody even noticing... I have held conversations with people while doing it and they asked if I didn't have to feed the baby anytime soon... even though I did it right in front of them.

When she covered up, he got out of the car and walked right by the driver side of our car and looked in while walking by.

well, I know it may be uncomfortable for people to see, and like I said I personally scheduled my feedings around public outings or dinners... or would do it in the car... but if you have more kids with you, you barely ever get a break or a minute to have a seat... the restaurant may have been the best option for her because she had the kids within sight and kinda restrained.
I think most people don't understand the situation until they have had kids and nursed them.

sure, but breast milk can't be heated and reheated like formula. once you warm it it needs to be consumed or tossed.

and if you are out all day your breasts still fill up and need to be emptied/ pumped every 4 h.

I know it wasn't... just trying to add to my point. I feel strongly about it as I did it for 18 months... and there is nothing more natural. Some women would love to and can't... some don't want to... it doesn't matter to me, either way a healthy baby can be raised.

but I am sure the people that think it should be done at home also are the ones that really love a screaming and crying baby in public... they just love the noise.


see, just because we have babies, our life doesn't stop and many work, shop and do all the household chores on top the same way they did before with taking care of a baby in between.

on my first day of linguistics class, the teacher was nursing her newborn while sitting cross-legged on the table. she didnt use a blankie and the baby was fine. she was very good at keeping everything concealed even as she fed the baby. very well done.

i was def floored when i saw the infant. she looked less than a month old. im thinking she HAD to come in to work because the class is so specialized that they could find a sub. i hope she's getting compensated well for missing out on the maternity leave.

That said, as others have stated, there are ways to do it that are very discrete, so it's advisable to use those methods as respect to people who are uncomfortable with it.

I'm sorry I posted this late. I come from an Irish family. I have 32 cousins. We would have occasions when there was events. The moms brought their kids into the bathroom or car to feed the babies. They survived. Now their kids are feeding their babies in discreet or brining the breast milk to events.
