Where would you eat if you had the chance.

Everything paid for.

Mine would have to be El Bulli.

I don't think I even know what place because they're so nice I'm not aware of them.

But the times I've had French food it's been at a nice place and it's been great so I would eat at the nicest French restaurant I could find.

If that's the way it is, I'm time traveling back to my grandmothers kitchen when she was alive. FTW.

I remember having a meal at Broussard's in the French Quarter in New Orleans that was just phenomenal.

Then there was that little wharf restaurant in Camden, Maine, which was the best seafood I ever had.

I can't decide!!!

Rao's. Just to see what all the big deal is.

I was able to go once a few years ago. (My cousin's in-laws are related to Frankie Pellegrino somehow.) It is a nice little place (maybe 20 tables and booths combined) and the food, while very good, was probably closer to Artie Bucco than Mario Battali. I had the chicken with lemon because that's what Frank told me I should have. The mystique of the place is what makes it special. The only "celebrities" who were there when I went were Frank himself and Chuck Zito. (My cousin claims, on a subsequent visit, to have peed next to Albert Brooks in the men's room, however.) But there were two big center tables filled with older and middle-aged Italian gentlemen who would have fit in perfectly in any scene from Good Fellas or the Sopranos.

The maitre d' said if you didn't have a "reservation" you were welcome to hang out at the bar but, from my perspective, you would be competing for elbow space with the drivers of the legitimate businessmen dining and making a racket in the restaurant area.

They also own Baldoria in midtown and the food is supposed to be similar although I haven't gone. It is easier to get reservations there (i.e not impossible).
