Awesome Online game for 2k9

I just saw that NBA 2k9 has an awesome game ongoing- the other season.

I read up on it, you have to sign up and then when you play online you become eligible to be drafted by NBA players and become members of their fantasy team of gamers. It's kind of like a reverse fantasy league. I think that's fucking cool and it means I'm going to have to hone my skills so I can get picked up by one of these dudes.

How is NBA 2k9? I was a fan of 2k7 and 2k8, but was considering buying NBA Live this year. Tryin to see what people think of 2k9 before I go get in on my lunch break. Gotta get ready for the season and that means buying this year's game.

Awesome man, totally awesome. I'd highly recommend a purchase, the older ones were great but this is definitely a step above. It looks and plays like a game that you'd see on TNT or ESPN. Totally incredible, the controls are mapped wonderfully and the presentation is a huge step up from previous versions.
