What movie would you have liked to have been done (originally not remade) by your favorite director?
I'm gonna say "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Stanley Kubrick
or
"Star Wars" by Akira Kurusawa (yes I understand the implications here).

i think that's a really good choice. i absolutely love mallrats the way it is, but now i'm trying to imagine it with a john waters spin. man i would love to see that.
