The suspect, who's last known address is the home where the murders happened, is on parole after serving nearly 7 years for attempted murder (I'm guessing he's the kid's father, but I could be wrong). They have the suspect in custody, but the kid is still missing.

The bad neighborhoods have moved further west. I'd say west Chicago is much scarier than the southside at this point...the southside is just depressing now.

Matty, the southside is basically south of the Loop downtown. Lincoln Park is well north of that. I live just a couple blocks west of LP off of North Avenue.

The outcomes are this:

He's either a complete monster who killed the mother, brother, and potentially killed the kid with no care for life whatsoever.

Bad divorce situation with a prior rap and everyone is pointing the finger at him.

Killed the mother and the brother and kidnapped the kid and then let him fend for himself.

He had help and they're still running around. That's why time of death on the kid is going to be critical.

I think that Hollywood does this on occasion. They shake it up.
When they give awards to Anna Paquin (who was, like, 14 at the time), or Jennifer Hudson, or even 3-6 Mafia... I think they're doing it to make a statement. "See... we're hip!"
They gotta groom the next batch of Hollywood icons. SOMEBODY'S gotta be the next Tom Hanks. Or in this case... the next Queen Latifa.



On a different note, Jennifer Hudson professes to be a highly spirtitual person. She thanks "the lord god" and all that stuff everytime she's in front of an open mic. It'll be interesting to see if that continues.
The dead body they found has been confirmed and identified as Hudson's nephew. This will be a true test of faith.
