I went to check out TV on the Radio last night and thought it was a really good show. I am a big fan of their music but had always seen mixed reviews of their live shows. I was pleasantly surprised with how they sounded.
Opened with Young Liars, Closed with Staring at the Sun (one of my favorite tunes).
I know Black Earl mentioned on yesterday's show that he went on Wednesday. Not only is there 1 regular member of the band who is white (Dave did correct him on the show), but the entire horn section they had was white (4 members). I guess he didn't notice...

love this band and their new album
dave stitek is indeed white ... he's also the founding member and noted leader and (musically) the band follows his sonic vision
the horn section is usually comprised of local fans, and vary by city
i saw them a year and a half ago in boston, and they were great -- dirtywhirl and satellite were insane live
hope to see them next time around

That would explain the sax player jumping around the stage with his Kool Aid Smile like he just won the lottery. He definitely didn't have the look of someone who had been doing this gig for awhile.

Which one is it, TV or the Radio? Make a choice.
