Not much help here....sorry.

Only been to two: Hunter and Belleayre. I learned to ski in Belleayre mountain in the 70's, so just from a nostalgic standpoint it's my favorite. The beginner slopes were seperated from the more advanced runs by a gravel road. Not as many maniacs when your trying to learn.

I don't remember too much about Hunter either, but some of the lifts scared the shit out of me. Very high and rickety. Also some very tough terrain to ski. ...I wish it was earlier so I could call my Dad. I'm sure he could give you an earful....especially from a "back in the day" perspective. He practically grew up skiing the Catskill mountains.

Everyone that i've talked to seems to like Belleayre better, which is odd because Hunter gets so much more traffic.

I wish i could ski, but i am a big fat guy who has trouble stopping on the slopes.

I've been to Wyndham. It's a great resort, I recommend it.

My ex bf is a snowboard instructor up at Hunter Mtn.
He LOVES it there and says that wyndham and hunter are the ONLY places for boarders.

(Ps. I spent one winter LIVING in Tannersville and almost went crazy.... ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES CASEY A VERY DULL GIRL)

Both sets of grandparents had ski houses up there, in Windham, and that is where my parents met. i was just up there last weekend visiting my grandparents to watch the leaves change and celebrate my grandfather's birthday. my grandmother is on the board of the golf club and one of the members of the ski resort - they just did an entire overhaul on Windham (that is how it is spelt)

i would be happy to answer any questions about it!

also, Tannersville is great and i love driving down the mountain and swimming in the river at the bottom in the summer.
