I have two scales. One I've had for years, and a new one I just bought last weekend.

The new one tells me I weigh 226, the other says 231.

The conundrum, however, is that when I stand on the new one holding 10 pounds in my hands, it says I weigh 236. When I stand on the old one, it says I weigh 241.

Go weigh yourself in the supermarket they have those scales that you pay .25 cents for your accurate weight & you also get a fortune. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

are they digital or manual scales?
you can adjust the manual ones and you also need to make sure you are on a solid even leveled surface.

There are no accurate scales. I know for a fact that I'm 210 lbs. (even the one at the doctors office is off by 100 lbs.)

They're both digital, and they're right next to each other. I figure I should go with the new one, since it's brand new and my brother says the old one is at least 3 pounds heavy.

And I was just at the supermarket 2 hours ago! How about next time anticipate my post and let me know BEFORE I leave?

EDIT: And I'm 5'9 226, and working on it big time. 2 months ago I was 20+ pounds heavier, and I was pushing 275 back in April-May.

The "burn more calories than you eat" diet. I've stopped eating ANY snack foods, no chocolates or cookies or any stuff like that. No ice cream, no fast food, just good shit. I eat fish, chicken or steak once or twice a week, and other than that I eat mostly fruit and yogurt. And Cheerios. Lots of cheerios. A couple other things, but that's pretty much it.

I gave blood a couple weeks back, and they sent me a letter in the mail on Thursday or Friday thanking me and letting me know that my cholesterol is at 151. I'm a healthy motherfucker.

And I work out like crazy. I spend at least an hour a day (or at least 5 days a week) on my stationary bike, and usually I end up doing an hour, resting a little while and going back up for another hour or so. I knock the shit out of my heavy bag, run the stairs of my basement, and use my all new, much stronger resistance band along with 5 lb dumbbells. I also walk 3-5 miles a few times a week.

My depression went away a while back, and my anxiety is withering as well, and that's what gave me the ambition to start losing weight. Now the most fun part of my day is working out, and when I finish, all I want to do is more, even though I'm dead tired. My goal was 197 by January 1. Looks like I'm gonna make that goal much earlier. And then I concentrate on some muscle.

I really do write way too much. NOBODY CARES, NICK.

Another thing I do is never eat unless I'm certainly hungry. I don't just eat because it's a meal time or because it's been more than a normal amount of hours. If I'm not hungry, I don't eat. And I've drank nothing but water for 4 months.

HOT.

I really don't care that much, because it really doesn't matter. What matters is that about halfway through August, I was more than 20 pounds heavier than I am today. I really don't look much different, although my belly fat is noticeably less when I stand sideways and look in the mirror. And clothes that used to be tight on me are comfortable, and clothes that were pretty comfortable on me are now loose.

I'm always worth making fun of. If I was never made fun of, I'd never be as good at handling and working over people as I turned out to be. Plus I'd be much less thick skinned.

And much less thick in the tummy area, too though. Don't make fun of the chubby kids, it just makes us eat more to heal our misery!

Just keep weighing yourself on the same scale. As long as the scales are fairly close you should be fine. When you lose weight the difference will show up on both scales. It is the difference that you should care about when you are dieting.
