Been watching to much T.G. you clots.
Anyway.
I have a 1994 GMC JIMMY 4x4. I posted a pick a WHILE back but you know.
The problem I am having is that the thing is SHIT. GARBAGE. USELESS.
The front driver side window motor fell out the bottom of the door through a rust spot. The pass. window doesn't work at all. The rear two windows are IFFY. There is NO rear WINDOW(just a piece of flappy plastic). The heater core does not work. The A/C blows as hard as a hamster. The front grill is all broken from a dear. The door seals are shot and let water in. AND the transmission does not shift into 4th anymore and is kinda shotty.
But the motor is decent.
Obviuosly I am not going to be able to sell it.
The only option is junk it and sell the wheels when junk goes up again.
But I am trying to think of fun things to do with it until then.
So thanks buddays.

Hook it up to a remote control setup like on mythbusters and jump a bunch of shit with it until it comes apart.

just start taking it apart now and let all of the junk accumulate in your yard till the price for scrap is just right.
also, go sell the catalytic converter now, and since you've got a hacksaw handy steal all of them from your neighbors cars. people way a shit load for them and if you steal enough you just may turn it into a felony

Fill it up while it is running....:bye:..Or the 4.3 might last long enough to make it clear:smile:......

I've got a fix for that.
Jack up the car, put it in 4 Low, and rev the engine up as high as it will go.
When it has reached its crescendo, begin pouring sugar or coffee creamer into the intake manifold.
The motor grenades quite pleasantly, and if the drivetrain is as bad as you say, will quickly disintegrate as well when the torque of a dying engine passes through it.
Make sure you have a lot of dropcloths and kitty litter under the truck before you do this.

Northern CA hillbilly disposal method:
Beat it till she can't go no more on fire trails in the hills. When she stops, if the motor still works, put a rock on the gas petal in neutral and kick back for a minute until the motor blows. Good times.

I knew of a chick in college who filled the door pockets with dirt and had plants growing in her car for a while. You might try to spruce it up like that.
Another friend just drove his Celica into a lake when he was done with it. I think he got in a lot of trouble for that.
I also knew this foreign exchange student - Johan - who came to the States, bought an old Nova, never bothered to get a license, drove it around for the summer, including a trip to California and then just drove it off into the woods and left it there and went back to Sweden or Switzerland or wherever the fuck he was from.
You could just dismantle it like others have said and sell it off on ebay.
There are a couple of other things you can do involving fraud and possible jail time as well.

Donate it to a Volunteer Fire Department ... you can get a tax break on the book value, and you get to watch them torch it for training. I am always amazed at how many people want to know when we're going to use it for a drill so they can come and watch.

It's definitely worth looking in to ... I had a car that had so many problems I couldn't have sold it for more than 500 .... I donated to the FD and had a $2000 Charitable Donation to file at the end of the year.
DISLAIMER ALERT!!!!!
Please confirm with your local FD that this is the case and that they will provide the paper work, ect prior to trashing your car or anything like that. Maybe even confirm with your accountant first as well in order to make sure things haven't changed (as I did this 7 years ago).

depending on your tax bracket of course, but assuming middle class, a 2K write off would net you about 5-600 bucks off on your actual amount paid taxes

I don't know if it's different for fire departments now, but the car donation rules changed about a year ago. For instance... If you donate your car to one of those charities that resell them, you don't get a tax credit on the blue book value. First, the charity does whatever it is they are going to do with car (usually sell it), and you get a tax credit on the amount they got for the car. NOT the blue book value. Like I said... It may be different for a fire department, that will be keeping it, instead of selling it.

1. Get full coverage insurance on it.
2. Light it on fire
3. Collect insurance check
4. Buy another blazer
5. Repeat as needed

just make sure you reinforce the front windshield (front window inegrity will be compromised
make sure right after you do it you take it down to your insurance agent
im sure hell be so pleased hes insuring something like that
and by the way i recycled the rims off of an old car a while ago and got like 30 bucks a rim
if you hack it down in tiney pieces you might get some scratch for it

Careful with the convertible conversion. You will reduce the strength of the frame once the top starts coming off (I think this happened on top gear). Manufacturers have to beef up the frames of sedans when they chop the top. You'll have the same problem. You don't want to turn it into a metal taco.
fuckin' starving.
Good luck.

i do know that. There is on structural bar that is right behind the rear doors and right behind the front doors. You can tell because the bump they make in the headliner. I am planning on keeping those ones.
