Ron has brought this up before, and he's totally right. My brother, who for the most part has in my opinion amazing popular culture standards, loves this film. I on the other hand watched it, twice, gave it a good chance, and just don't get it. He lives and dies by this film in terms of comedy, even though I respect his comedic opinion totally, so the question is...
...Is Ron right, is there a simple cultural divide? And where the fuck does this come from, what is it about this film?

I agree, I never understand people who cant find this film funny, its usually the film you can use to see if someone just refuse to let lose and have fun, the film is a comedy classic.

I'm one of those people who never found Chevy Chase funny, including (especially) on SNL. I will cut him some slack for Funny Farm though. Maybe because everyone was torturing him instead of him making wacky faces through the whole movie.
