DENVER! THE LAST DINOSAUR! HE'S MY FRIEND AND A WHOLE LOT MORE!

Sorry. Ducktales was the greatest cartoon. Ever. Hands down. Who do you think touched Huey, Duey, and Luey more, Uncle Scrooge or Gizmoduck? They sat on both their laps an awful lot.

Clutch Cargo, for anyone not in the know, was basically still drawings with a big hole in the middle where some guy stuck his mouth in instead of going to the trouble of drawing moving lips. Kind of like what they do on Conan O'Brien with Clinton.

But even this can't compare with "Transformers: The Movie", which not only featured the word "SHIT!" to the delight of many a prepubescent boy, but Orson Welles as a Giant Pulsating Orange with a Vagina. Can't beat that.

How could no one mention VOLTRON. That was the best cartoon of them all. Thundercats, Silverhawks, Transformers, GI Joe, and to a lesser degree Go Bots.

Sho 'nuff!

Voltron and Transformers for sure...anything with robots usually kicked ass. I still liked Scooby doo too though, and Thundercats is definitely a good choice too....He-man was good too. I loved how is tiger cat pet always ran away from him when he used his sword...anyone know what i'm talking about?

The best part about Heathcliff was the theme song, now remember that this show was produced when New Wave music was hot so it only made sense to try and appeal to that audience a bit with the opening song.

He-Man was great (before they splintered off into Shee-Ra)
Transformers
GoBots
Thundercats (the first 4 seasons)
Hong Kong Phooey
Laff-A-lympics
Dino-saucers
a cartoon about Mr T and some gymnasts (I can't remember the name)
GI Joe
Garfield and Friends
Droids

but the absolute greatest cartoon of all time is SuperFriends

another good old school cartoon would have to be Tiny Toon Adventures, i think they premiered in either 1989 or 1990.

hands down!

i used to watch space ghost coast to coast. i know it's not "old school" but it was still a great show. brak was the best:

Lima, lentil, soy, and pinto,
Navy, northern, and garbanzo,
Kidneys and frijoles negros,
I love beans!

I love beans, woo woo woo!
I love beans, how 'bout you?
High in fiber, low in fat.
Hey, I bet you didn't know that!

When I eat beans I sit in my own little cloud.
Nobody comes to visit me in my little cloud.
I don't know why. Maybe it's 'cause I'm cuttin' muffins. Because-

I love beans, hey hey hey!
I love beans every day!
Beans are an excellent source of protein.
I love beans, dinky-doo!

Space Ghost: Coast to Coast rocked the big ass. I always wanted to know how they went about conducting those interviews. Did they force celebrities to sit in a room while the fat guy who did Space Ghost's voice and some scary writers yelled at him?

The Disney Afternoon was undeniably the greatest cartoon invention known to mankind.

Bob, that actually started as Captain Lou Albano trying to get a children's dance-craze started in the middle of the show. It was one of many would-be tv dance crazes of the time, such as "Do the Bartman" and "Do the Urkel". It was a sad time for America, when it looked like the Red Menace just might prevail, and we took a lesson from the wise sage Kevin Bacon in "Footloose", and taught ourselves how to dance, and how to love.

Had Russia came up with "Do the Worker and Parasite", we might not be enjoying our freedom today.

Going back a few years, Snuffy Smith, Beetle Bailey, Dick Tracy, Hoppity Hooper, Crusader Rabbit and my all time favorite Rocky and Bullwinkle. The Marvel Comics were good also. Every night during the week was different super hero Monday was Captain America, Tuesday was The Hulk, Wednesday was Iron Man, Thursday was Thor, Friday was the underwater guy, Mariner I think his name was. I wish I could remember the important things like I remembered that. How bout Chuck Mcann and Claude Kershner?

Voltron rocked, both the lions and that one where they used vehicles to form the robot. And Robotech kicked ass too. Anyone remember a cartoon called COPS, it was about cops and gangsters in the future. I always rember Bionic 6 looked similar to that.

I liked the robot shows, but only if they were made in the 80's. Otherwise, they were just bad versions of those from the 80's.
