Apparently FCC vs. Fox Television Stations (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20081006-supreme-court-to-hear-fcc-f-bomb-appeal-on-election-day.html) will begin opening statements on Election Day. This case will probably have no bearing on O&A because CBS is hyper-paranoid with what they allow over the air. Still I will be watching this and hoping for the best. Fuck yeah...

I'm kinda happy with the current sitch.
Networks are "safe"
Cable is "edgy".
Why fuck with it?

From what I have seen about this, its more for the occasional "oopsie". That could make the radio environment a bit more relaxed knowing that there wont be a $200,000 fine when the dump guy isnt paying attention. That is, as long as there are standards that are being applied consistently, which is unlikely as hell.

Should be allowed to curse all they want to...
Maybe it will force people to stop using the TV as a babysitter for their kids

Yeah, it doesn't challenge the basic concept of decency guidelines. So we won't see "Two And a Half Fucking Men" or "The New Adventures of Old Christine's Cunt."
