I never knew that crows were this intelligent and adaptable. The video is about 10 minutes long, but well worth the watch for someone interested in science and biology.

A buddy of mine saw a crow sitting on the roof of his car as he walked into one of his classes. It had it's head cocked sideways and was just staring at him. When he came out a couple of hours later, it was still there with the same look. He studies bird conservation, so he picked it up and placed it in the passenger seat and drove to a vet.

It sat there on his seat the whole ride, with it's head still cocked to the side. He took it into the vet and had it tested. Turns out, he had found the first bird in our area, with that disease that was in the news a couple of years ago. Dammit. I can't remember the name of it, but it was that one that's rare, but was feared to become an epidemic.

Anyway. They're cool birds. I'd love to have a crow or a raven as a pet.
