I have a bunch of family home movies that I took on our old video camera, using the small VHS-C tapes. I want to transfer them to DVD but the prices on having them converted professionally seem a little too steep.

Is it worth my time to purchase one of the VCR/DVD combos that records to DVD? How is the quality on those things? Anyone have any suggestions on how the best way to go about doing this is?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Those VHS/DVD-R combo machines are getting really cheap these days, as are similar devices that also have a hard drive & USB ports. Check your local Best Buy/Target/Walmart/etc...
