Intersting how distribution channels work. There are a few places local to me that have had Tastykakes for a couple of years. They're usually not fresh though, so I still have to load up when I go up the coast.

i grew up always having tastycakes in northern nj so the first time someone told me they didnt have them, or know what they were, i thought it was like some weirdo saying they never heard of a twinkie.
I had no idea they were available on a limited basis, and that i had grown up blessed with the luck of the kandykake.

No one warned me of the dangers of these tastykakes. Oh you Philly types talked about how yummy they are but now I can't walk past the display without grabbing one or 3. I have spoken here of my need to lose a little weight and this is not helping. I could go to another store for my coffee and paper but the cute checkout clerk works here. This is a problem and I'm not handling it well.
HELP Please, do I just give in or is there some support out there for someone like me. I'm going to need "support" as in a sports bra soon if I keep this up

I was psyched when I saw some Tastykakes at the local Walmart, then mildly disappointed when I got close enough to see they only had some weird Halloween flavors. The Spice Krimpets are pretty good, I guess.

This isn't an "official" breakdown, but it matches the way I see it. Though, I'd count Maryland in with the South East, too.

Maryland??? Really? See I never knew there was an actual breakdown, I always just looked at it by eye. If there was a line going across the middle of the country, and that state was over that line, I just figured it was north.

I say Maryland, because it's south of the Mason Dixon line. And though they were part of the Union in the Civil War, the state has a distinctively southern feel to it.

Apparently, the restructuring or sale of the company, or whatever it is they did, has resulted in an expansion of their product line. I just picked up these at Sheetz, tonight. They also have a S'mores version. I just tried the York one, and it's pretty good. They also had cinnamon swirls. I don't recall ever seeing those. Are they new to TastyKake?
