Not surprising, the brain is made of protein and fat. Fish is the best thing for your brain, as it needs the Omega 3 fatty acids in it.

Sounds like the beef industry is just trying to sell product to the 1 billion plus people in India.
Beer is considered food, same with sake and is much better for you to drink than just about anything other than water, and some teas and juices.

i kinda suspected this since a show on history channel a few years ago said that eating meat contributing to our brains getting larger and us as a species becoming more intelligent

Sounds like the beef industry is just trying to sell product to the 1 billion plus people in India.
Beer is considered food, same with sake and is much better for you to drink than just about anything other than water, and some teas and juices.
That is going to be an uphill battle for the beef industry, since the majority of the population in India is Hindu. Cows are sacred and never eaten.

I feel sorry for people whose religion disallows eating beef and more importantly pork. How can something as fantastic as pig fat be against some imaginary man in the sky?

I am completely with you on that because I love bacon and sausage, but there was also a safety issue RE: eating pork in ye olden days. Trichinosis comes from eating undercooked pork and could be a big problem, thus the declaration that pork is unclean and the dietary restrictions against it.

Less than 6 cases of trichinosis caused by undercooked pork per year in the US. Religion is outdated.
