The best way to send Brett a message is to draft a QB in the first or second round this year.

BTW, the Twins are moving into an open-air stadium? Really? That has disaster written all over it.

Who are the QBs that are going to be available this year?

I know Teel and White (who will probably be converted to a WR IF HE COMES OUT - he may go play baseball and make guaranteed money)

Sanchez is talkin like he is gonna stay, everyone else is still a Junior. Stafford, bradford, Jr's, i think McCoy already said he is staying so it's still up in the air.

Jets had two good RB's and a hell of an O-line this year. The issue was a renegade quarterback and a retard coach.

I don't understand that. NFL regs say that the roof must be closed in inclement weather situations or if the temps drop below freezing. There would be no reason to have the dome. It's one of the main reasons the New Meadowlands doesn't have a roof.

I think Carolina will handle the Cards pretty easily. And while I think the Tennessee/Baltimore game is going to be a classic, old school, smash mouth affair, I'm kind of surprised that a #1 seed is only a three point favorite over a #6 seed.

How's that 11-5 record working out for you this year!?

And seriously, give me a break. I love this argument that LT is soft bc he is banged up bad the last two years. I'm sure he played almost a decade and racked up amazing stats to become a pussy when he wants nothing more than to play.

A busted face is one thing, but a hammy/knee/groin injury to an RB or WR and your not the guy you used to be until healed. I've played hockey with broken ribs, fingers and plenty of stitches, but when my knee or ankle got dinged, it was bad.

Saying shit about LT this year or last would be the equivalent to ripping Brady this year. Stupid. In fact, both Rivers and LT have played through too much bc they wanted to win so bad in my mind. With the likes of Turner, Sproles and Volek to back them up, I think they would have been better off sitting quicker. All year I stated LT should sit until he's healthy but he continued to play through it. And how does one get groin injuries, yep, when they're not in the same game shape as they should/used to be.

Hey, that I won't argue, but to say he's soft is insane. He got depressed bc he actually wants to play that badly. I'm not one to say he shouldn't have been out there on the sideline like Merriman is every game right now. Still, it happened mid-game unlike the time Merriman's or Brady's injury. And has Brady been cheering at most of NE's games this year? Hardly. I'm pretty impressed about Merriman being at almost every game cheering from the sidelines.

Can any player put together seasons like he did during his prime, rarely. And if you follow the normal pattern of even the best rb's you'll see he's really is at the tail end of his career in terms of being a top 3 back, let alone top 5. He'll still be plenty effective if he ever gets healthy, but he'll need to sit to do so and possible surgery which he refuses to do. When he finally decides to do so, based on length of recovery especially now that he's hitting the big 30 soon means he's seen his best days no doubt.

Or perhaps yet again it has to do with each teams strengths and weaknesses, along with the early money coming in. And let's not forget they played in week #11 in Pitt with the Steelers winning by one on a last second field goal 11-10. Call me insane, but I think the line is too high. Oh and LT hasn't been himself since getting injured in last year's playoff run. Sorry, they should have been preparing Sproles all year for this. The big block move of picking up Michael Bennett (stopping Denver from picking up a much needed RB) is going to be big in this game. He gives us a much better/much needed short-yardage back going up against a very good D. Bennett and Moore will play much bigger roles in this game then most think. I also think it'll be fun to watch two ackward but good qbs matching up from the same draft.

Another HUGE change with the Chargers is that the D is MUCH better under Rivera so be ready to battle morphing/attacking D all day. Big Ben won't be right to take hits, so we could be without LT, Roth and others by the mid point.

But he turned in an all-time performance in the NFC championship game that year right before the super bowl. Set a bunch of championship game records.

He's been progressing, with the Panthers he made the NFC Championship game but lost to the Pack. Next he goes to the Giants and win the NFC Championship game but lost in the super bowl. Next step is to win the Superbowl...

And he's not a drunk any longer, that may help. And let's be honest, Collins always had a cannon, he just was a sloppy player/drunk back then. He did lead PSU to an undefeated season, took Carolina and the Giants very close, and now made the Titans a force. I can't put it on him, it's his receiving core if you ask me. I love Joe Flacco, being a UD alum myself, but I don't see any way he makes enough plays to win this game.

The Ravens' best chance was to get up early, and just sit on the ball. As long as Tennessee is front-running, they'll have that Ravens D worn down by the third quarter, because they'll do nothing BUT run.

They're going to need Flacco to make some big throws. I can't see it.

Well, there's #1.

Wow. This game went pretty much as expected. Hard fought, smash mouth football all the way. The Ravens were impressive, but the Titans shot themselves in the foot with the constant penalties and turnovers.

Now I'm going to root like crazy for Arizona, Philadelphia, and San Diego.

I want a 9-7 and 8-8 team hosting the Conference Championship games so the NFL is embarrassed into changing the rule that states a Division champion must be the home team.

For the past two years I've done nothing but root against the Bengals with all my might. I don't think you can call me a fan any longer.

I despise them.

I just enjoy the games. It's much nicer. No more ulcers.

To be perfectly honest though, I have lost a bit of interest. Sundays during football season used to be like a high holy day to me. Now I only watch marquee games.

But I REALLY want an Arizona-San Diego Super Bowl.

Sorry, but when 9 players get arrested (one of them 4 times) in a 12 month span and the head coach says there's not a problem, I can't root for an organization like that and still feel good about myself. On top of it, when they finally cut Chris Henry after his fourth arrest, they said he'd never be a Bengal again. When they had a few injuries in the preseason at the WR position, however, they immediately re-signed him.

What a classless organization.

The Cincinnati Bengals can go fuck themselves, and I wish them nothing but continued failure.

So it appears that the Cardinals are not happy just to be in the playoffs after all.

I started off like everyone, thinking it was a slam dunk for the Panthers, but I actually had the same feeling the last couple of days, about the Cardinals, that I got a couple days before the Atlanta game, when I flipped my opinion on that.

So this isn't totally surprising me

People were quick to write the team off because of the way they finished the season, but it's not exactly like they were playing for much that last month. Their division sucked.

Warner's still a money QB, and the Panthers' pass rush was overrated all season.

To beat the Cardinals, you have to blitz the hell out of Warner, and that's not the Panthers' style.

The problem for Arizona, is that both the Eagles and Giants will do that to them.

The Panthers are really going to have to give 110% in the second half. Establish the run, get Delhomme some confidence and most importantly, don't panic. This game is far from over.
