Bailey, Bailey, Bailey. I don't know about you, but I was always a Bailey guy. Jennifer was never my type. So where did Jan Smithers go after Bailey? Why, into the arms of James Brolin, of course. Until James landed in th arms of Barbara Streisand, that is. But lets just cut to the harsh part...just last year, Jan was involved in a trafic accident...a naked traffic accident She was driving naked in the middle of the night, got out of her car and began waving down a truck, and the truck driver didn’t see her and hit her. Ironically, when the police got to the scene, they found nothing wrong with her car. Apparently, Ms. Smithers had been distraught ever since her father died, and this was just part of the breakdown. She's since recovered form her injuries, but the psychological ones may run much deeper. We wish Ms. Smithers well.

At one time Jan Smithers was cooperating with a tribute web site to her, but the creeps drove her away.
I love the show, "WKRP in Cincinnati" so bought a book by Michael B Kassel called "Americas Favorite Radio Station, WKRP in Cincinnati".
All the major characters contributed to the book except for Jan Smithers.
Its a real good book if you like the show as I do. Background stories, synopsises of all episodes, a number of pictures, an explanation why the time slot of the show was changed so many times.
WKRP was only on 4 years for a total of 90 episodes. It was never a huge hit for CBS so kind of flew under the radar, no one paid much attention to it so the creative juices were free to flow with little interference.
I think it one of the best series of all time.
I would take the naturally beautiful Baily over the artifical Jennifer every time.
