they'll have to make it flash memory in order to keep it so thin. No way an 80 gig drive and a LCD touchscreen as we know it can remain the same thickness.

Coincidentally-

SD and Micro SD memory cards have plummeted in price. Does the industry know something that we don't? Maybe Apple has pushed the barrier past 60 gig for flash memory.

My understanding is that the new Touches will probably still be 16GB and 32GB, but their prices will be brought in line with the iPhone, so that they're $199 and $299, respectively. Flash memory is getting much cheaper, but it's not cheap enough for them to have the capacity of the drive-based iPods yet.
