Looks like Cletus Snow has passed on to join his old dog Fred in the great beyond. (http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/news/bal-lifestyle-reed0902,0,5060423.story)

I remember when a friend of mine told me that the guy from Smokey and the Bandit was a serious picker. I was surprised to hear that and then I got an album of Jerry Reed's with Chet Atkins, then I knew for real. RIP

Though my Snowman name in The Hideout did NOT come from him, I still felt a kinship with him. RIP, Snowman.:glurps:

I guess God needed a load of beer hauled to the GOP convention.
What's my 20?
"Eastbound and down, loaded up and trucking..."
Reed was to country what Beethoven was to classical music.
The epitome of the genre.
RIP Snowman.

I'm going to cross state lines to get a case of Coors in his honor.
I hope you're just going to pour it out on his grave. I don't recommend drinking it.

No you won't, Michael.
You're being silly.

RIP Snowman.
Everybody remembers "Eastbound and down" and yet nobody remembers the hidden classic, "Westbound and flyin". sigh

“I'd sit on the trunk in the kitchen - I'd get up there 'cause I wanted to be on stage, you know. I always wanted to be an entertainer.”~Jerry Reed
