I just popped in Neneh Cherry's "Raw Like Sushi" and it made me think of the question.

GREAT ALBUM! NOT A BAD SONG ON IT!

A lot of my friends are surprised I like it.

I have a "Music From The X-Files" cd.

I listen to it sometimes when doing household chores (word of the night).
It's really great background music, for a sex addict like me.

Come to think about it, no one would find this surprising. They already think I'm weird.

True. Same here.

I'm honestly listening to dis. 10th time since I got it. As just audio it's still as thrilling to hear even if I'm not watching jim brown mash it up.

i downloaded this album that they do the entire album of "The Wall" in country music

I love the cover of "Goodbye Blue Skies" and "The Trial"

However, what pisses me off about it is, in "In the Flesh pt 2", they replace the racial slurs with "less offensive" terms. So the words "Queer" "Jewish" and "Coon" are now "Deer" "Squeamish" and "Racoon". I do not know why they did that but it ruins everything for me

I get shit from my band for liking stuff that isn't Metal and I get shit from people who only know me by my nickname 'Death Metal Moe' and think that's all I listen to everyday. So anything outside Metal is a surprise for most people.

I'd say my top 3 surprises would be:

I've always wondered what the Canadian version of John Facenda would sound like.

I like that CD, did you ever listen to the Dirty Three hidden track *before* the first track? Mysteries upon Mysteries!

I have that CD, its by Luther Wright and the Wrongs. They're a Canadian band so that explains the cleaned up language. Very polite people you know.

Jagged Little Pill

Jagged Little Pill is a really good album. Raw and pure. Brilliant.

(Too bad Alanis got therapy and I honestly feel that she's sucked ever since.)

Never admitted this to anyone but my girlfriend but Abba greatest hits. :flush:

ABBA is catchy. You get it stuck in your head and you just feel like dancing!

"I Never Learned to Swim" aka The Best of Jill Sobule.

She's awesome.

I knew there were other reasons I liked you, Jim.

I love Jill Sobule.

[I have "eccentric" tastes in music and I prefer to stay in a pretty small comfort range of artists. This drives Matty up the wall. He was very surprised when I bought the Amy Winehouse album last year, but since it's so close to music I already listen to, I don't see why it's so shocking.]
