Just a quick story that I felt was funny.

Just to preface this whole story with some honesty: I was in a bad mood.

I got in a Culling of Stratholme random. I asked if everyone was ready to use the new "skip" feature to bypass the opening sequence, no one said anything either way so I clicked it. Then suddenly these 3 assholes tell me their guild mate is doing this instance for the 1st time and needed to do all the shit near the entrance for the quest. Ugh. So now I start giving them a little lip that I want to get this done quick and don't want to miss the timer, I want that extra badge.

So we start moving and the fucking healer and tank die on a pull. This is unacceptable in CoS at this point in the game, the place couldn't be much easier. Unless it were UK I guess, but it's pretty easy. Everyone's been playing for months now collecting welfare gear with emblems, everyone's gearscore is at least 4500 or so with minimal effort between emblem gear and drops from the new 5 man instances.

So their fucking lowbie paladin buddy is just standing there. I ask him to resurrect the healer and tank so we can move on quickly. Instead of wanting to stay with this shit group the healer, the only smart one, just leaves group. So we get another guy and keep moving, the whole time sniping little comments back and forth.

Well unfortunately for me, about 20 feet from the optional boss and last boss, they all suddenly vote me out of group and I end up in Dalaran with my dick in my hand.

All I could really do was laugh. I was the asshole that time and I got what I deserved. I was really just being a douche bag for no good reason. So now I'll keep that in mind the next time I group up. I don't like people with attitudes so I'll try my best not to be one.

Use to be addicted to the whole raiding thing. Server first yogg0 and all that jazz, death demise woot. It was fun I guess but being focused on topping charts was just getting dumb, and having some d-bag yelling over vent. Blizzard has got a damn good business model though, especially now that they are selling in game items like mounts. 20 bucks for a damn mount, thats crazy. They must be making a shitload.

^. I don't tank stupidity on my DK and I don't heal it on my priest. During my DKs random right after the tree boss (Nexus) we jumped down literally on top of the pat. Now the moron healer got himself killed by standing on the crystal spikes so i told him we would handle the 1 pat and meet him in the front. The mage, AS WE'RE FALLING onto the mobs hits an instant cast and got himself 2 shot. I would have saved him but that's dumb enough to warrant the repair bill.

If you want to tank don't do the Druid. The threat mechanics are not nearly as good as say a Pally or Warrior. I say pally for easy tanking, at least until Cataclysm. The Druid is one o the best healers at this point though so don't dump it.

My sister's acct got hacked this week. there were some serious losses. her two guild banks were emptied, she had about 20k gold spread around all of her toons which is of course gone (as she was frozen for "gold buying activities". that was obviously the hacker), her ICC drop gear was vendored (as can be seen on her main's toon below), and her Shammy and Rogue are gone.

its been a rough weekend for her.

The only time I log in to wow is when I do a gdkp run on saturdays. It is a run that really good geared players(like me) and rich players get invited to. It is an ICC 25 where the only way to get gear is to bid gold on it. I have played 15 hours total in the past four weeks and made 40k. The pot for the last two runs has been 15k a piece. Even if I paid 5k for something I would of gotten 15k at then end of the run. Amazing.

I am afraid I might come back for cata but oh well... I will at least be rich.

Ya I don't know though. I think buying gold is something to extreme for most players. I was the guy in line for shadowmourne and was the first to have the axe you needed for the questline.

I realized by continuing on this path I would of been forced into playing this gay game I got quit and joined an asian guild that raided in the morning at times I couldnt attend.

The social aspect of the game is what gets people addicted, I myself only cared about peeps that could get me what I wanted which was gear, being the best which I was at pve dmg is dumb, as fun as things like this for people with money is you just need to step back. How dumb is it that I let raiding be the biggest problem in my life, compare it to people that struggle to survive and eat and its a joke.

I love America! My biggest problems are to quit listening to Ronnie B and actually graduate. Long live the U.S.A. BTW I took two semesters off and lived overseas, one of them in Prague, (czech) its interesting to see how much other people hate us. They hated us! lol. That was before Barack got elected tho maybe we are heroes again. But when I was over there it definitely didnt't win you points saying you were from the states.

Tanking is WAY different now, at least compared to the ptr... almost no aoe threat, single target threat in general is tough as well. Also right now there's nothing even close to being as OP as fire mages.

seeing the world reshaped was pretty amazing. it took me a while to realize that the drag was exactly the same except for the fact that THE ROOF OF THE CAVE WAS GONE! the new flight points everywhere help the lowbies out, though i feel they should also suffer the pain of running from one end of durotar to the other. :o

with my night elf being my main, the destruction of auberdine was tough to watch. the smouldering crater near astranaar is pretty intense too :down:

im slowly exploring. cant wait for the new lands to open up, and ill be getting my copy on release day.

Won't just help the lowbies, they'll be heaven for raiders who go AFK to squeeze in one last smoke before start time. Not that I know anyone like that or anything.

Speaking of, I haven't paid attention to any of the instances, I'm guessing it's way too much to hope for instances to be more like the long (BRD) or confusing(mara) instances vanilla wow instead of the short & linear instances in BCWoTLK isn't it?

i know they took some of the older dungeons and revamped them so that they become level 85s, like heroic dead mines and heroic shadowfang keep . i think i'll try it out tonite if they are available. im not sure if you can queue for them with the finder. i know we got a taste of them during the elemental invasions. i remember killing a level 85 princess theradras (s?) and lvl 85 gahz'rilla.

I've been farting around with the game. Got my priest to 85 over the course of like 3 weeks or so. Started with my warlock, that's going a lot faster because A) I am familiar with the quests now and B) me and my buddy got the extra 5% XP boost from our guild rewards thing.

I went through 1 instance, Stonecore or whatever. It was eh. I just have next to no real ambition to play WoW anymore. I've become so busy with other things that I still sit down every now and then, but the game holds no super interest for me anymore.

my ilvl is 364. i cant seem to win a helm drop :dry:

ive done some firelands content, but since i am a backup healer, i dont get to go for the good stuff. im hearing there is gonna be a massive nerf of the fireland content. im my server (bloodscalp-alliance), the top guild is either draconic savant or INFT. members from that guild are the only ones that ive seen decked out in ilvl 391 :wacko:

I am in one of the best alliance raids at 2/7 heroic FL, 3/7 tonight. Most of the raids are still working on Rag here.

Shit is getting nerfed next Tuesday though so free 391 till deathwing.

Their new install is pretty quick with a decent connection. Just go to the official website and start the download. You can even start playing a little bit into the download.

I use to dread getting a new computer or reformatting. Hours and hours of switching disks and downloading each update one by one. Now it is a one click thing, crazy easy.

At first I thought you get the free 80, but either way it is still pretty nice to get a mount, its really nice if you had two accounts in the past.

btw I am hooked again and going hard (sigh), about to clear heroic DS, doing rated bg's, etc. It is so easy to slip into this terrible abyss. I got to try and quit again, this shit is ruining me.

Hah - I tried WOW once (chick at work got some special sword or something if she invited new members) and i had a hard time trying to figure out which server to use. DIdnt know which was better. After running around smashing pigs or boars for an hour - i decided to not go any further because I have so many consol games that I want to play and wouldnt do WOW justice.

The raid leader says that they should cast divine intervention to help the mages with their AoE. Divine intervention gives the paladin the ability to give their own life in order to protect an ally. There is really no need to cast it. It does not improve ranged dps. Spells like that would be better used on healers, who usually generate more threat than mages and would need help staying alive from the hatchlings attacking them (in this instance). any raider would know that.

if you scatter them with intimidating shout, you wont be able to AoE effectively. AoE means Area of Effect, which means its a spell that works over a small area (for multiple emenies) rather than a focused attack. also you will pull extra welps before you can kill the first ones hatched if you scatter them. there is a chain effect. if you open one and it gets to fly too close to another egg, it will hatch that one.

also, that number crunch portion is total bullshit. "we have a 33% chance, repeating of course" :rolleyes:
