AVI files for WMP/Torrent Files

I'm getting into the torrent deal, and when I download movies and try to play then it tells me that the file isn't supported by Windows Media Player.


I've looked up codecs for avi to work on it, but I'm coming up short.

Anyone have a quick solution?

you should be able to play them with divx player. or convert them with a program such as tunebite

Ya, agreed, VLC is the only player that should be used when you are watching movies downloaded from torrent sites. And, just, in general.

I have yet to come across a file format it won't play.

VLC also does .bin files, no need to burn to DVD and waste a disc.
