What? Did you mean Civilization:Revolutions ?

It's for PC, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3 and Nintendo DS ... and, no, I haven't gotten it yet, but they had a preview of the game at NYC's ComicCon earlier this year.

I'm a sucker for all the Civ games.

It's still turn-based. More info is available at the official website, www.civilizationrevolution.com (http://www.civilizationrevolution.com/). (Site has audio, so turn your speakers down or mute it if you're at work.)

You could always save and resume your game in past versions. Whether or not you wanted to was an entirely different question ... I've lost more sleep playing one Civ game or other in the past 9 years than I have on any other game.

I've got Civilization Revolution for the 360, it kicks ass. I've never played a Civ game before this so I can't compare it to the PC versions, it a great turn based game, the ability to manage you cities, move units, and just manage the whole game is easy. A typical game lasts 3-6 hours for me depending on how I want to win the game. I'd say pick it up, from what I've heard even people who've only played the PC version like it on the 360 or PS3.

The one thing I was incredibly excited about with the new version was the extension beyond PC's to platforms and the DS.

I saw some test games at ComicCon earlier this year. If we hadn't been on total sensory overload, I would've played a few turns on Xbox, despite having the weakest thumbs in the USA.

Well i got one game in lasted from bout midnight to 4 :).. man do you lose track of time easy well ido any way.. I bailed on the chat room and got lil game time in. First off i'm glad that I made the purchase. The interface so far is preaty good it's fairly easy to get around but took a little while to figure out how to change production. I chose random civ to start with. Got stuck with the mongouls.. Came incontact witht he greeks first then the french. the greeks were fairly peacefull the french kept threatening me for war or knowledge. I optet for knowledge at first but then had to revert to a save because i gave them too much and they became allpowerfull. Second run i withheld everything and beat down the french. Then the greeks started to cause problems so they were next followed by the spanish and the aztecs there was also a tribe i think i wipedout early on butnot sure who they were. All in all not a bad firsty run. I lookforward to online play to se how smoothly that flows. I'd like to have a lil rf turnement here in a few.

It's the only game where Gandhi sides with the German's and declares war with the Greeks.

How do you not love it?

Ha i havn't had him pop up. So far i've avoided the democracy so i don't have to accept peace. I ran with despotism both runs so far. I'll have to adjust my game play a little see what i can end up with. Also might try increasing the difficulty I've found spreading out early and colonizing as much as you can helps in the long run more science more gold. The time passes to fast in noob level. I'm hoping at the harder levels the years pass slower. I did have steam power fairly early runnig around with cruisers but still having knights and pikemen did seam a little off but is fun

Agreed. It's awesome.

Do you still get penalized at the higher difficulty levels for not having roving bands of barbarians like you did in Civ III?
