The Worst Franchise is...

"Cici's pizza". I was going to ask this question, but a couple of hours of this shit digesting in me, I'm convinced I have the definitive answer.

So the commercial for CiCi's is an adult male and they tell him "all the pizza he can eat for $5.95" and hes surrounded by big greasy delicious looking pizza. I saw a CiCi's across the street from a Bestbuy i was at, it was the closest food place and I wanted to try it (and i havent had good pizza since I went back to NY for july 4th weekend).

Anyway, the place is crowded with kids. I felt like a pedophile eating there. Its not for adults. Second, the pizza was so fucking gross. It was worse than High School Cafeteria Pizza, I swear. They are these tiny triangles that have been left out all day....holy shit, just fucking gross

The only thing I found edible there was some garlic bread sticks (and they didnt have any marina or 'garlic butter sau' to dip it in) and at the end of the aisle they had some desserty stuff and they had cinnamon buns that were ok cuz they were hot (im sure they serve it room temperature all the time). Just an absolutely gross place

i see you're from the midwest, im currently there. When i was in NY, I couldnt understand how anyone would eat Dominos. But with the pizza chains you guys have here, its kinda top notch. I don't like that "Donatos" shit, that tastes like supermarket frozen pizza to me. But either one of them is a million times better than the shit that is "CiCis pizza". Trust me

I only had Donatos from one of the restaurants once and thought it was the worst chain pizza ever.

I never had Red Robbin but I heard they have good burgers. I heard its better than Bob Evans.

But yeah, of the "sit down family resturaunt chain" places (which are better than fast food places and pizza chains all the time), the worst of that is AppleBees. Applebees is so bad because they will combine two different dishes, and you would think a talented chef would pull it off, but no...its just two dishes mixed together. The last time I ate there i had the "Quesidilla Burger", thinking "I like Quesidillas...I like burgers". But together..holy shit did it suck

By far the worst food chain in my opinion is Chilis..my son & I got so sick after eating there 1 day I can never go back. Houlihans isn't that bad I like to go get the earlt bird special. You get soup/salad, dinner, dessert & drink for $12.99 you can not beat that.

It's an inexpensive, all you can eat buffet. You get what you pay for. What did it cost you, like $5 or $6 per person, plus a drink? What did you expect for that price?

I've only been twice. Second time was because my oldest won a coupon for a "Free Meal", and he liked the idea of helping to pitch in for dinner. Nutritionally, it's probably no worse for the kids than a happy meal. At least I can usually get some salad into them with their pizza.

They started around the same time that other "fast food" places were becoming popular, but Steak and Shake continued to have waitresses who brought you your order to your table served on china, and with actual silverware utensils.

And yes, they're actually ground steak, and, IMO, delicious. They used to grind the round steak, sirloin and t-bones on site, and where the customers could see them.

never tried red robin till i moved upstate. the first time we went we got burgers with those onion straw things that they are known for & both of us felt so gross after eating . the burger tasted good too, but those fried onion things were a bad idea. we went back about a week ago, figuring we'd give it another try this time without the onions. much better idea. the burgers are pretty decent & i usually never order a burger outside of a backyard bbq.

olive garden is only good for its salad & fried ravioli. i can't think of any other redeeming qualities.

Arby's- tried it once- eh not good, so I don't go there (compare it to McD's, BK & Wendy's though)
Olive Garden stinks. Never had an outstanding meal there, nor an Italian dish.
Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa Johns... all stink. I only eat pizza from a local pizzeria.
Applebees is ok, not excellent but ok- overpriced though for what you get

I think I try to avoid chains in general... or stick with basic foods there or appetizers.
